Words can't describe the future.

Arrival of aliens ousts U.S. workers

By Jerry Seper
THE WASHINGTON TIMES
April 10, 2006

An Alabama employment agency that sent 70 laborers and construction workers to job sites in that state in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina says the men were sent home after just two weeks on the job by employers who told them "the Mexicans had arrived" and were willing to work for less.
Linda Swope, who operates Complete Employment Services Inc. in Mobile, Ala., told The Washington Times last week that the workers -- whom she described as U.S. citizens, residents of Alabama and predominantly black -- had been "urgently requested" by contractors hired to rebuild and clear devastated areas of the state, but were told to leave three job sites when the foreign workers showed up.
"After Katrina, our company had 70 workers on the job the first day, but the companies decided they didn't need them anymore because the Mexicans had arrived," Mrs. Swope said. "I assure you it is not true that Americans don't want to work.
"We had been told that 270 jobs might be available, and we could have filled every one of them with men from this area, most of whom lost their jobs because of the hurricane," she said. "When we told the guys they would not be needed, they actually cried ... and we cried with them. This is a shame."
Mrs. Swope said employment agencies throughout Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi faced similar problems, when thousands of men from Mexico and several Central and South American countries -- many in crowded buses and trucks -- came into the three states after Katrina, looking for employment and willing to work for less money.
The number of foreign workers who flooded the area after the hurricane has been estimated at more than 30,000. Many of them have been identified by law-enforcement authorities and others as illegal aliens.
The Gulf Coast Latin American Association noted in a report that whether those workers will remain after the cleanup work is completed is not clear, but the longer those jobs last, the more likely it is that the workers will settle permanently. After Hurricane Andrew hit southeastern Florida in 1992, the association said, the construction boom attracted large numbers of Hispanic immigrants to several areas, including Homestead, Fla., where the Latino population doubled during the 1990s.
Many of the illegal aliens came into the Gulf Coast states not only from south of the border but also from California, Arizona and Texas, responding to the demand for workers. U.S. Border Patrol officials in the three states have reported an increase in the number of illegals apprehended.
Some of the migrants who did get jobs in the Gulf states also were mistreated, records show. Two class-action lawsuits are pending in federal court in New Orleans in which thousands of migrant workers said they never were paid, although many worked 12-hour shifts, seven days a week and were required to remove toxic contamination from hurricane-ravaged buildings.
Some of the named companies were working on contracts from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and other government agencies.
Government estimates put at 400,000 the number of jobs lost in the Gulf region as a result of Katrina, which displaced more than 1.5 million people, and many of those workers left the area to seek employment elsewhere because available construction, laborer and cleanup jobs in Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi had been filled by foreign workers, including illegal aliens.
President Bush last week signed the Katrina Emergency Assistance Act of 2006, which extended for 13 weeks unemployment compensation benefits to more than 140,000 residents of the Gulf states who were displaced from their jobs by Katrina. Their benefits, funded by FEMA, had expired March 4.
Would-be employers in Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi, awash in cleanup and reconstruction jobs, faced little in the way of legal problems in hiring the illegal aliens after Katrina because the Department of Homeland Security temporarily suspended the sanctioning of employers who hired workers unable to document their citizenship.
Mr. Bush also had suspended the Davis-Bacon Act, which requires local contractors to pay "prevailing" wages, in the areas hit by Katrina to encourage reconstruction and cleanup.
"The men we sent to jobs in Alabama were local fellows looking for work, men who needed jobs," Mrs. Swope said. "After driving 50 miles to the work sites where they had been promised $10 an hour, they discovered the employers had found substitutes who were willing to work for less."

Art's guide to finding music

1st. go to the anti defamation league's and hatewatch's website.

2nd. look in their music section

3rd. go on soulseek or bearshare and download music from the lists.

A lot of the stuff is from other countries so you dont know what they're saying but the music sounds pretty bad ass and the best part about not being able to understand it is that you can't be labeled as racist, score.

That feel good feeling

I went to this office for a job interview the other day and realized why that's the worst work enviroment any self respecting human can endure.

The first thing I noticed where that there were all these hot girls with large knockers working there interviewing crack heads and those people that they wouldn't even look at in their normal life. They always "Oh that's awesome!!" Which leaves me to believe that's the positive fake word ment to make all these retards feel special. I wish people would be honest about what they say every once in a while but in todays world we have to be politically correct. What's wrong with being honest with some one and telling them they're a dumbass?

Speaking of that feel good feeling I'm going to go check out the madball show, it'll be the first hardcore show in a long time. I hope it's hardcore like it used to be and not all this new faggy shit about living life to your fullest, tolerence and garbage like that. I was listening to some interviews with hardcore bands the other day and they came of like pussies saying crap like they loved their wives, be nice to special needs people, etc.

I know I can't be the only person that's pissed off about this but you never know with the pussifacation of the modern world people that admit that they hate other people are slowly dissappearing.

Commemorating the PatBattle of O-town

As a continuation of a radio bit, fans of the Opie & Anthony show on XM Satellite Radio -- best known as "Pests" -- raised funds on their own and designed and placed a billboard on a major thoroughfare. The billboard was in reference to a war of words between the XM pair and Jim Philips of the Philips Phile Show at Clear Channel Talker WTKS/Orlando.

O&A listeners had been flooding the Philips show with e-mails and took the attack to the next level by placing a billboard on All American Boulevard in Maitland, FL near the studios where the Philips Phile Show broadcasts. The sign reads: "Mr. Philips, The Pests win, you lose! Good day sir. The Opie & Anthony Army. Commemorating the PatBattle of O-town."

Air America

Editorials/Op-Ed

Front Page > Editorials/Op-Ed Page
Email | Print | Subscribe

Add To Insider Newsclips
advertisement
Robin Hood and Air America

TODAY'S EDITORIAL
July 29, 2005

Did Al Franken's liberal radio network Air America divert city money for the elderly and inner-city children to itself? That's the question people should be asking this week after the revelation that the New York Department of Investigation is looking into whether hundreds of thousands of dollars were illegally transferred from a Bronx community center to Air America. Only a community paper and a few Internet bloggers seem interested in what could be an egregious case of illegal funneling of tax dollars to a private, partisan organization.
In late June, city officials designated the Gloria Wise Boys and Girls Club, a nonprofit organization that runs mentoring programs for children and day care for Alzheimer's patients, a "non-responsible city contractor." Investigators found "significant inappropriate transactions and falsified documents that were submitted to various City agencies." The city subsequently suspended the club's contracts, which run well into the millions.
It turns out, according to sources quoted anonymously by the Bronx News, that the mishandled money went to Air America. One source claims that $480,000 was wrongly transferred. The city investigation is concentrating on Charles Rosen, the club's president for 15 years, and Evan Cohen, the development director, who is a former chairman of Air America. Mr. Cohen resigned from Air America in May after the network's leasing plans in Chicago, San Francisco and elsewhere fell through.
No one has claimed that Messrs. Cohen or Rosen sought to profit personally from any transfers. The money was said to have been a "loan" from the community center to Air America, which Air America would repay with interest at some point in the future. But why the public till should be tapped to rescue a foundering news outlet was a question no one seemed to consider. Maybe Air America officers thought spending public funds on their network was a truly compelling public interest. It isn't, of course, and if the allegations are true, they reveal a misuse of tax dollars to support a partisan organization.
Air America's parent corporation Piquant LLC issued an "explanation" yesterday but did not deny the allegations. It instead tried to pin them on Air America's previous owners, on whose watch the transfer is said to have occured. That won't wash.
Most of the mainstream newspapers have ignored this story. We only found out about it through the reporting of Brian Maloney, who pieced a story together on his blog "The Radio Equalizer" which was picked up by syndicated columnist Michelle Malkin. The New York Daily News buried an item at the end of a column of news briefs. There was nothing in the New York Times, which has heaped flattering coverage on the flailing network.
Air America is struggling to find listeners, leaders and reliable funding. But should it take money from children and the ailing elderly? Al Franken and Randi Rhodes, ever the defenders of the "little guy," should explain this one.

Ever once in a while i feel depressed.........

But leave it to hippy women to make me feel better. I got all bored and posted an ad in craigslist titled "do you need training?" and got a reply from a strong liberated woman..

HER EMAIL

Sent: Friday, July 22, 2005 10:53 PM
Subject: do you need training...?

>
> No, but you obviously do!

It was my duty being bored tonite to formulate an intelligent responce to her message but to do so I took 3 min and found out some information. People should learn from my responce, just so you don't look like a dumbass.

Well I'm sure there's a lot of things that I could learn but I'll focus on
teaching you something for the time being. Did you know its not a very good
idea to try and act ananymous using your business email? Yeah it'ts
true!!!!!!!!! If some one was bored enough they could find your little
business, http://www.address omited.com/ and your phone number Curator -
Elizabeth ****
510.599.****. Honestly I was a little bored tonite, probably just like you
where when you responded to an ad that you had no interest in. This letter
was the least I could do for you, by providing you with this information you
can avoid some one with a little less class than I have; harassing you while
you try to make yourself feel like a powerful, liberated woman.

Lately people that are kind of new to my journal have been shocked at the stuff on here because in general I'm a pretty nice guy. They should be proud that I continued my good natured ways in helping this poor soul keep herself safe from those classless animals that wander the internet.

Dear PETA....

EDIT: I do know some pretty cool people who do support PETA but even they have to admit that some members don't have a firm grasp on reality.

hidude10 7/12/05 8:30 PM
My cat Tiffany, who is a boy (Long story) has been killing ALOT of animals lately, and been leaving then on our doorstep, like a gift and stuff. He used to just kill the lizards, and it was horrible but he didn't do it that much. But I notice over the pasted year, the hunter in him had really come out! He has killed I would say almost 100 lizards, some toads and frogs, about 5 moles, a few squirrels, a mouse or two, and very, very sadly, a beatuful young bird. The bird died in my hands right after Tiffany attacked it.
My cat is mostly a outdoor cat, but he spends most of the day inside. He is spayed or neutered I can't rember which on the call it for male cats, but the point is is he can't mate.

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!! If you don't I'm sad to say that more animals probley will be killed due to my cat. I love him very much, but I don't want to see other animals harmed eighter! So if you know what I could be PLEASE POST!!!
Thank You SOOOO Much!!!

It's a fuckin cat dumbass. Here's some advice from the PETA crowd...

friend2animals 7/12/05 8:52 PM
i feel that if someone gets a pet cat, they should keep it inside and take it for leashed walks since it was a baby. it is wrong to allow your cat to go roam the neighborhood to get run over and kill native sepcies. your cat is not a native species out there, it seems unfair to all those animals... i would think if you loved your cat with all your heart you wouldn't ever let it play in traffic....

imvegan717 7/14/05 1:15 AM
Keep your cat inside the house!! the saliva of cats is like venon to bunnies and other animals so even if he just gets to them enough to bite his saliva could kill em. As for the clawing you can buy lil covers for your cats nails so they cant claw stuff, theyre cheaper than declawing plus you dont have to put your cat throught the pain of declawing

Holy shit these people piss me off...

In case anyone was wondering... it was an inside job

The vast majority of terrorist attacks are government sponsored and the ones in london arn't an exception to the rule. Already the British government is blocking an investigation into the bombings and combined with evidence of prior knowledge of the attack it would seem that these attacks are an inside job intended to scare the general population into becoming more of a police state.

Tony Blair will on Monday reject Conservative demands for a government inquiry into last week's London bomb attacks, insisting such a move would distract from the task of catching the perpetrators.

Well I shouldn't be to political, it rots peoples brains.

Minuteman Project made the BBC

The article isn't even bad either. It does, however, fail to mention that the highest people in our government are against it.

'Vigilantes' set for Mexico border patrol
By Laura Smith-Spark
BBC News

From 1 April, groups of volunteers from across the US will spend up to a month camped out in the inhospitable Arizona desert.

But this is no ordinary hunting or camping trip.

Armed with night vision goggles, radios and light aircraft, their quarry are the hundreds of immigrants who each night seek illegally to cross the wire fence separating the US from Mexico.

While the volunteers insist they will simply "observe" the new arrivals' movements and alert the US Border Patrol, human rights groups fear the eruption of vigilante violence.

Called the Minuteman Project, the operation has already strained international relations between Washington and its southern neighbour.

Washington accuses Mexico of not doing enough to stem the flow of illegal immigrants from across Latin America into the US, while Mexican officials condemn vigilante attacks near the border.

This is really an issue of outsiders coming in... and riling up people's xenophobia
Jennifer Allen
Border Action Network
President George W Bush has so far delayed implementing plans announced in 2004 for a guest-worker scheme which would legalise immigrants' presence.

And for those seeking to join up to six million undocumented Mexican workers already in the US, the crossing is about to get tougher.

Founder James Gilchrist describes the Minuteman Project - named after militiamen of the American Revolution - as vital to protect the country from the security threat of uncontrolled immigration.

It is "a grassroots effort to bring Americans to the defence of their homeland", he says, which is "devoured and plundered by the menace of tens of millions of invading illegal aliens".

His website claims more than 1,000 people of all ages and backgrounds have registered to patrol through April.

But the project's statement that it has "no affiliation with, nor wants any assistance or interference from any separatists, racists or supremacy groups or individuals" does little to reassure human rights groups.

Screening issue

Jennifer Allen, of Border Action Network, based in Tucson, Arizona, tells the BBC News website her campaign group is seeking to force the authorities to take action to prevent any potential vigilante violence.

"This is really an issue of outsiders coming in, creating a situation about immigrants, fanning the flames of racism and riling up people's xenophobia," she says.

"It's bringing people here from across the country, whereas the local people who deal with the fact they live on the border and deal with immigration routes are not the ones doing this."

Mark Potok, of the Southern Poverty Law Centre in Alabama, recognises the Minuteman volunteers' stated intention to patrol peacefully.

But he is concerned the organisers will not be able to screen all participants for links to white supremacist groups.

"We think they are pouring gas on the fire," he says. "We think it's very possible we will have some kind of eruption down there."

Desert deaths

But US Border Control spokesman Jeff Benadum insists groups such as the Minutemen volunteers have a "constitutional right to assemble peacefully", although they cannot legally detain anyone.

"We have no reason not to feel everything they are going to do is law-abiding," he says. "As long as it doesn't interfere with our course of action, it's their due right to be out there."

Border Patrol officers are kept busy in the Arizona desert. Last year they made 580,000 arrests, up by more than a third on the year before and more than half the national total.

Once apprehended, over 90% of illegal immigrants are voluntarily taken back over the Mexican border. Many will turn straight round and try again.

They are the lucky ones. The less fortunate die trying to cross the desert wilderness - some 223 of them last year, says volunteer group Humane Borders, most killed by thirst.

The growth in migration across the 200-mile-long stretch of Arizona border, despite the risks, is partly due to increased security in California since 1994.

Humane Borders attempts to prevent people dying on the five-day trek through Arizona's baking heat by putting water stations in the desert.

But, says Jeff Passel of the Pew Hispanic Centre, no amount of danger will deter immigrants as long as a better life beckons beyond the wire - dooming current border policies to failure.

"The one thing that that seems to be behind the migration is jobs - and the US government has done very little to cut off employment," he says.

"No matter how hard you make it, it's still better than the prospects they have back home."

Story from BBC NEWS:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/pr/fr/-/2/hi/americas/4384855.stm

my religion

You scored as agnosticism. You are an agnostic. Though it is generally taken that agnostics neither believe nor disbelieve in God, it is possible to be a theist or atheist in addition to an agnostic. Agnostics don't believe it is possible to prove the existence of God (nor lack thereof).

Agnosticism is a philosophy that God's existence cannot be proven. Some say it is possible to be agnostic and follow a religion; however, one cannot be a devout believer if he or she does not truly believe.

Buddhism

79%

agnosticism

79%

Islam

71%

Satanism

63%

Christianity

54%

Hinduism

50%

atheism

42%

Judaism

38%

Paganism

29%

</td>

Which religion is the right one for you?
Today marks a beautiful day in history

BOOBIES IN FILM

It was the Communist doctor and playwright, Friedrich Wolf, who had the inspiration for the project.

“In 1920, I wanted to make an educational film for physical education classes in schools. I wrote an outline, in which I attempted to show the development of gymnastics from ancient physical culture to modern physiotherapy and sport,” Wolf said after the war.

A few years went by before the film was actually made. “Ways to Strength and Beauty” was one of the first full-length culture films and was an immediate box office hit. The film featured a mixture of gymnastics exercises, sport routines and the reenactment of historical Roman scenes. The premiere, on 16 March 1925, was celebrated by the public and the press alike.

“The cameraman made sure, through the positions, movement and lighting, that anything was avoided that could evoke a sensuous thrill. The higher visual perception of human nudity has triumphed over dark and sensuous desires”, the “Berliner Lokalanzeiger”, a local Berlin newspaper wrote at the time.

Nudity had never been seen on screen before.

“Viewers were shown a lot of naked flesh. Even if today’s Press claim otherwise and even though we know that the rather conservative gentlemen at the film board had other intentions. Their actual intentions are well documented – originally the film, which had an inhouse working title: the personal hygiene film. So they clearly intended to encourage Germans to pay attention to personal hygiene and physical training”, Michael Töteberg, a film expert from Potsdam says about the film’s success and the original intention of the makers of “Ways to Strength and Beauty”.

Even into the 1950s, as a result of the voluntary self-censorship of the film industry, the film was rarely shown. It took years before nudity on screen no longer caused offence.

Making sweet music

The singing protective

By JACQUI THORNTON
Health Editor

A SCIENTIST has come up with a musical condom that gets louder as the sex gets more vigorous.

The singing protective is designed to be a laugh for couples who want to make their own sweet music, says Ukrainian inventor Dr Grigoriy Chausovskiy.

Different lovemaking positions determine what tune is played by the condom, which also works like a normal contraceptive.

The rubber has tiny sensors connected to a mini electronic device that produces the sounds.

“But there is no danger of being electrocuted,” said Dr Chausovskiy, who has teamed up with a manufacturer to export the condoms to Britain.

They will cost about 20 per cent more than normal condoms. “But people will pay for the extra stimulation,” he said.

Faith

I gave some one a choice about something the other day, a rather harsh one at that, maybe not a choice it could possably be a last chance. Hopefully in the end I'll end up suprised and have to eat my words.

We used to call them "Trainables"

The other day I got a phone call from my friend who just got inspired to sell weed. He asked me if I wanted to do it and layed out for me all the riches we'd be making by buying $40 worth and selling it for $45. Naturally I was so inticed about the idea of making $5 dollars I almost spat in my own pants.

Apperently he was inspired to do this by two other retards but having achived an unsurmountable level of stupidity he bought the idea hook, line and sinker. It's one thing to come up with a stupid ass idea by yourself but to be conviced by a 28 year old guy that hasnt left his parents house in months and a white trash girl thats goes to school with the dreams of making stained glass puts you on a whole new level. Think about it, to be convinced to do something by another person; the person either has to be really fuckin smart or you have to be really fuckin stupid.

I feel a bit inspired to do stuff today so I think I'm going to be a drug kingpin; my first stop to the local home depot. When I get there I'm going to head out to the gardening section and recruit the retards that water plants. They'll work in groups of two around town, the one thats smart enought to count will be the brains and the other one will be the muscle (we all know that some retards have super human strength). I'll win their loyalty by giving them a cheese burger for every $45 dollars they sell; wait a cheese burger? I could get bums in on this too. Soon I'll be the biggest pot dealer ever.
